Applications are being sought to fill the role of Individual Fundraising Executive at the National Concert Hall. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis and the final closing date for application is Thursday 18th May 2017.

Position: Individual Fundraising Executive.

The National Concert Hall sits proudly on Earlsfort Terrace in Dublin’s city centre and is home to the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Choir Ireland, Irish Baroque Orchestra, Crash Ensemble, Music Network and Music Generation. In the heart of a commercial district known as the National Concert Hall Quarter, the NCH hosts over 1000 events per annum. Its mission, to foster and celebrate the appreciation, knowledge, enjoyment and pure love of music as an integral part of Irish life.

Job Purpose

As a key member of the Development team, you will be responsible for the planning and implementation of individual fundraising at the National Concert Hall.  The role also supports the membership programmes of the National Concert Hall including the Friends of The National Concert Hall and the Patrons programme; and seeks develop fundraising across DM and Digital.

Accountabilities

  • Develop individual fundraising and membership programmes – growing members and increasing individual value.
  • Develop and implement regular direct mail and digital fundraising to secure new donors.
  • Co-ordinate renewal procedures and maintain a high renewal rate.
  • Co-ordinate membership services including all members’ requests and membership supplies and materials.
  • Research, plan, co-ordinate and manage members events and tours.
  • Produce publications and communications to general membership and for donors, including biannual newsletter and monthly e-zine.
  • Oversee the membership database on Audience View, regularly monitor for correct data capture, process all memberships in association with the Box Office team, produce regular statistical reports of all membership activity and reconcile monthly membership revenue.
  • Support the Head of Development with the individual fundraising budget and assiduously manage all event budgets.
  • Work in synergy with other Development staff to identify possible crossover opportunities and in developing new revenue streams.

Capability Profile

The ideal candidate will possess broad fundraising skills, a keen interest in developing and leading people through the donor journey, excellent organisation and communication skills (both written and verbal ) and a solid business understanding. You will have a strong understanding of fundraising, in particular individual fundraising and membership schemes. Management of fundraising databases is preferred as is good direct mail experience using creative development through to segmentation and campaign planning. You should also demonstrate capabilities and skills in the digital space. Good people skills are essential as is excellent attention to detail. The ideal candidate will demonstrate outstanding problem solving skills and have an ability to take meet deadlines in a time sensitive manner. They must also take initiative and be a self-motivator as well as having the ability to work independently and as a team player
