Monaco Properties wishes to commission a work or works of art for a civic space in front of the new Shamrock Plaza building in Carlow. This commission is a result of the planning process engaged in with the County Council, and is aimed at providing a new piece of civic art Carlow town centre, and the Carlow community, which will relate directly to the social, cultural or economic environment of the area. The budget for this project is €30,000. This includes artist’s fees, design, material and fabrication costs and all other associated costs, including vat. This is a two stage open competition: Projects will be evaluated by a Selection Committee comprising members of Monaco Properties, Carlow Town Council and the Carlow Local Arts Office.
