Teaċ Daṁsa was founded in 2016 by internationally acclaimed choreographer and director, Michael Keegan Dolan (Micháel MacAodhagáin-O’Dobhailen). It builds on his previous success as founder and Artistic Director of Fabulous Beast Dance Company. Over a 30 year career he has produced international successes such as the recent Swan Lake/Loch na hEala, Rian, The Rite of Spring, Giselle, The Bull and many others. Teaċ Daṁsa, ‘House of the Dance’ in Classical Irish, was founded as a means to make deeper connections with the traditions, language and the music of Ireland and reflects Michael’s ongoing journey to create dance and theatre work that reflects the place from which it originates.
The ground-breaking productions for which Michael is reputed, have toured extensively in Ireland, Denmark, England, Germany, France, Sweden, Spain, Singapore, Luxembourg, Russia, South Korea, Hong Kong, Canada, USA, Australia and New Zealand. In 2019 alone, Swan Lake/Loch na hEala will tour to West Australia and North America travelling to New York, LA, Minnesota, Michigan, North Carolina and Ottawa in Canada.
The work has won many international awards including the Irish Times Theatre Award, UK Critics‘ Circle National Dance Award and a Bessie Award (New York Dance and Performance Award) in 2013. As well as been nominated for three Olivier awards in London.
This new role within the organization has been created to organise the office and the company’s home base in Dingle, Co Kerry, ensuring the smooth running of the administrative, financial and related areas of the company as well as supporting the Artistic Director and Producer.

The successful candidate will:
- Have at least three years’ experience, in a relevant role – ideally in the performing arts
- Be able to work well with people, often under pressure, and handle a large variety of their concerns
- Have a ‘make it happen’ and proactive mentality, taking the initiative to deliver strategic company goals
- Be a ‘completer finisher’ with good attention to detail
- Enjoy the variety of responsibilities and tasks, willing to take on the ‘mundane’ along with the more exciting elements of the job
- Be comfortable working alone as well as in a team.
The person will be either from the Dingle area or willing to move there. If they don’t speak good Irish, they must be willing to learn
