Sing Ireland is a vibrant and dynamic cultural organisation dedicated to promoting and advancing group singing in Ireland. Sing Ireland supports a diverse community of choirs, choral directors, and singers, fostering a love for collective singing through participation, education, outreach, and performance opportunities.

Sing Ireland is seeking a passionate and creative Engagement Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing Sing Ireland's presence, engaging with our community, and promoting group singing across the country. The role will foster further engagement with members and stakeholders in a variety of styles and contexts and bring new people to the group singing community in Ireland.

The key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Engagement Strategy: In collaboration with the Team, develop and implement engagement strategies to connect with members and other singing groups, choral directors, and singers throughout Ireland. Build and maintain strong relationships within the group singing community.
  • Communications: In collaboration with the Team, create and execute effective communication plans, including newsletters, press releases, and social media content, to promote Sing Ireland's activities, events, and initiatives.
  • Events: To work as part of the Team to promote workshops, festivals, and other choral events. Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to ensure successful event execution.
  • Content Creation: Generate engaging and informative content for Sing Ireland's website, social media channels, and other digital platforms. Showcase the diversity and vibrancy of the Irish choral scene.
  • Membership Support: Provide support to Sing Ireland's members, including answering inquiries, facilitating networking opportunities, and assisting with membership recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Advocacy: Advocate for the importance of choral music in education and community development. Work with stakeholders to promote the value of choral singing in society.

Contract Type: Part-Time as a member of the Executive Team. The initial 12-month contract will be offered in the expectation that it will continue past this period.
